Ghana in Black & White

I love people watching, especially in the markets and villages in Africa. Africans are elegant, animated, regal, interesting, beautiful, unforgettable human beings. There is a certain intimacy involved in taking candid images of people. Faces always draw me in and I cannot help but snap the shutter! And then there are times when it is not the actual face that tells you something about the person or expresses the emotion in that present moment. A gesture, a stance, the tilt of a hat, the wrinkles in a face or simply the way a person moves.

This collection of images was captured in Ghana over the last three years.
